Below is BONUS CONTENT that Austin sent our mother and asked that we share it. Enjoy!
As for street contacting, yeah, they just threw us into it! It was so scary, but got better. I didn't put this in the letter, but we did it again this week, and we weren't so lucky. We went the first 30 minutes, and nobody listened to us. All of England (or the parts I've been to) is almost like NYC. Everyone has a place to be, no time to say hello, goodbye, they're late, they're late, they're late! Everyone has this mentality. We then ran into one of our teachers who talked to us, and said, "even if it's just a merry Christmas, it can make a difference." So, we went to the next person, and she stopped to listen! Only long enough to give her a Light the World Pamphlet, but she stopped. With renewed vigor, we pressed on. We finally met one young man, whom Elder Masango saw from across the park, and said "Him!". It turns out this man was from South Africa too! Elder Masango was able to talk to him in Zulu, and he accepted a Book of Mormon and Pamphlet! It was amazing! Honestly a testimony of pressing forward! It pays off.
A successful missionary isn't measured by the amount of baptisms, but by the effort they put in.
