There's Change Coming, Once and For All

Hello friends!

This week was crazy!! If has most definitely been the busiest week of my mission. In short, it comprised of two companion exchanges and transfers!

Tuesday & Wednesday: Exchanges with Elder Burton
Thursday & Friday: Exchanges with Elder Souza
Saturday & Sunday: Transfer calls
Monday: Transfer preparation day

So, yeah... It's been busy!

Exchanges with Elder Burton were great! He is such a funny man! We were rolling around the flat laughing at the most ridiculous things! We were able to go to Ormskirk again, and we had several meetings planned! Unfortunately all of them fell through 😔. So, we went to our backup plan: Tract. It was very cold and not too many people were interested. But we picked up ourselves and pressed on.

The next exchange with Elder Souza went really well! He is our district leader. We met them in Liverpool, and unbeknownst to us, they were doing a street display in the heart of the city. There were so many people! It was the most busy street display I've done yet, and truly pushed my comfort level. After, we came to Southport. We visited some members, and had some great lessons. We had a really good teaching dynamic, and the spirit was strong in those lessons. He really knows his doctrine and scriptures, and used them many times in the lessons. I learned a lot about talking to people, listening, and engaging in the conversation.

One highlight was that we tracted a street, and it just so happened to be the same street that nearly 10 Jehovah Witnesses were blitzing at the same moment. We talked to many of them, and it was good.

Transfers: We got a call on Saturday and Elder Carroll was assigned to be a district leader for Crosby! I also found out that I will be staying in Southport and Elder Goodey will be joining me.

Elder Carroll has been such a blessing, and I'm so grateful that I've been able to spend these two transfers with him. He has taught me a lot, and helped me to become a better disciple of Jesus Christ, and come closer to Him. Although I will miss him, and I have all sorts of emotions running through me as we approach transfers, I look forward to meeting Elder Goodey, and learning from him. I'll keep you all posted on who he is when I meet him tomorrow (Tuesday)

With this being my first time switching companions in the field, I am fairly apprehensive as to what will happen. I feel apprehensive, a little scared and uncertain. However, I also feel excited for the new experience. I'll be doing my best to press forward in faith. I know that if I do that, the Lord will help me with the change. I love my Heavenly Father!

Invitation of the Week
As you encounter struggles or questions this week, remember that your Heavenly Father is there to help you. Ask for His help and guidance, and it will be given to you. "Ask and ye shall receive; knock and it shall be opened unto you".

I love you all! Talk to you next week!
