BAPTISM!!

Hello!!! 

This week was a very special week! We were able to help a wonderful daughter of God, Chloe, enter the waters of baptism this week! It was such an amazing experience. The whole service was one that brought the spirit. I was so grateful for the help of members and the support that they showed. There were many aspects of the baptism that we either didn't or couldn't do, and they stepped up to help, often without us having to ask. 

When we showed up the day of the baptism, even though we got there plenty early, there were already cars there that belonged to members who had shown up early to help set up. And what a great help it was! 

The service was beautiful! Elder Larson baptised Chloe this last Friday, June 8th. I had the wonderful opportunity to confirm her a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint, and give her the gift of the Holy Ghost. It was a wonderful experience. I felt the help of the Holy Ghost guiding me in what to say to Chloe as I gave her the subsequent priesthood blessing. It was a testimony building experience for me, and I knew that the words I spoke were not my own. The spirit was overwhelming, and Chloe herself expressed similar feelings! 

Invitation of the week

We had our stake president come to sacrament meeting this week, and he gave us this to think about, (paraphrased) "as we listen to talks at sacrament meeting and stake and general conference, are we just hearing the words being spoken, or are we listening to the spirit telling us on what we need to act upon?" This intrigued me and I've been intently listening for what upon I need to act, and I extend the same invitation to you!
