Travel and Transfers
Hello all!
Another transfer week has come! I will still be with Elder Larson in Gaerwen for... Part of this next transfer. Elder Larson is finishing his mission during this transfer, so I will move partway through the transfer, when Elder Larson leaves. Because he is leaving before the transfer finishes, he attended his departing temple trip this transfer. This meant... Road trip! haha
Okay, so maybe not an actual road trip, but this last Friday we got up at five and headed off to Chorley! We got there and Elder Larson went to his activities, and I realised... I have no idea what to do for the next 7-8 hours. I asked some of the other elders that were there, and it turns out they had exchanges planned! For everyone except me. Apparently they failed to account for me because Elder Larson leaves this next transfer. So, with a rock-paper-scissors duel, I was placed into a trio.
I spent the day in Chorley with Elder Casadibari and Elder Blignaut. It was Elder Blignaut's first transfer, so it was fun to be with a trainee again. It reminded me a lot of my first transfer. We were able to do some street contacting in the city center. Oh it was so good to be in a city again! So many people to talk to!
On Sunday night there was a Chinese Fireside that Elder Larson was speaking in, which meant another trip but this time to Liverpool! They were going to have the meeting translated, but unfortunately that got cut. However, even without translation it was an incredible experience. Even though I don't know Chinese, I was still able to feel of the spirit that emanated from their messages. (I ended up getting a transcript with the translation for some of them, but the spirit was there nonetheless)
The spirit is incredible, and this week truly helped me to realise that he speaks universally and to the heart. I was so touched hearing the testimonies and conversion stories of those lovely people. I loved every moment of it!
Invitation of the Week
The Lord knows each of us personally and knows what we need. His hand is always in our life, and he will help us, not only in big ways, but often in small and simple ways. I believe He does this so we have to listen and search for it ourselves. I know it is sometimes difficult to see His hand in our lives, and sometimes we feel alone. However, despite that, He is always there.
I know that if we search for His hand in the many small things, we will see that they amount to big things. He is always there, and as you make a conscious effort to look for His hand, you will become more aware of just how much God cares for and loves you, and how much he helps you each and every second.
I heard this song this week, and fell in love with it. I feel it sums it up very well!
"His love can be seen in all directions.
His infinite peace longs to hold you every second
From the thorns in His crown
to the sunset coloured clouds,
He'll find a way to say 'I love you'" (He'll Find a Way - Dallyn Bayles)
I love you all!
