E.T. But No Phone Home

DISCLAIMER: I wrote this last week, but it did not send! Thank you to those that noticed and let me know. Love you! Now back to.... Last week's letter. 😁

Hello all!

This week has been, well, shall we say, crazy! Starting on Monday, Elder Larson and I went to Church Island, just between Anglesey and the Mainland. Luckily it is accessible by walking! It was beautiful there! On the island is a large cemetery and St. Tsylio's church. Right near the Island is also a forest with beautiful scenary! Lots of green trees and of course the water is right near. One of our friends once called it "the Sacred Grove". It actually did remind me of it.

The next evening, we got a call from President McReynolds. From that call, we learned that Elder Larson would be transferring to YSA in Manchester with Elder Sengson, and Elder Sengson's companion, Elder Payne, would be joining me in Gaerwen. I was also made aware that Elder Payne is only in his second transfer, and that I would be his follow-up trainer.

So, Wednesday, we packed up our bags, ready to head to Manchester Thursday morning. After we met our new companions and said our goodbyes, we immediately headed to Colwyn Bay for a mini-zone conference. Before the conference, we were able to contact near the beach. It was soo beautiful! And we saw an old USA Army jeep with an American flag! It was fun to see! At the conference we studied the phrases "forget yourself" and "go to work". It was a really good training that I really needed. It's amazing how God knows us all and what we need.

Elder Payne and I have hit the ground running. We've got a good view for the work. Elder Payne is much like me, in that we are energetic, love singing, and just sometimes being (appropriately) goofy.

This is a message from Elder Payne, "Guten tag. Wie geght es einen? Actually I'm American haha. That's all I got."

Oh! Another fun story! Yesterday, we were asked right after sacrament if we could come share something for Sharing Time in Primary. We agreed. When Primary came, however, there were only two boys there..... And no teachers! 😂 We ended up taking over the entire class and handling the full hour! Boy, I loved it! I miss being in primary. Singing songs, colouring, do activities. It's the life! We had a blast! We had each person (including ourselves) draw our family and introduce them! I can still say that I have the art skill of a 5 year old. Haha

Well, that's my week! It has been so busy, and this next week should be busy too! More to come!

Love you all!
