Burnley District of Power

Hello!

It's been a fun week here in Burnley and very eventful too. I packed up from Telford, finished making the flat "sister worthy" (we passed! Even with breaking the glass oven door... woops... long story), said goodbye to Telford and Elder Rice, headed to Burnley and met Elder Evensen. He is great! He's from Norway (one year in and I FINALLY have a non-north American companion. Haha)

It's been great! We celebrated today two birthdays, a 6 month mark and my year mark! My days, we had a blast! We had some balloons and cinnamon rolls to celebrate with. I don't even know what we did, but we were on the floor in laughter.

Most importantly though... We are decorated for Christmas! Woot! Give me that! 👊🤜🤛 🎅🤶🎄🎁🌟⛄ haha

Love you all!
Elder Burns

(Note from Elder Burns' mom - I thought that I would share a few things from my letter that he wrote this morning.)

Non-thanksgiving was good! We didn't have a big meal, just some home cooked Pasta Bake. We also had a zone chat where we introduced ourselves and shared what we're thankful for. So that was fun and I learned a bit about the others in my zone.

I need to go into Primary more often. They truly know how to teach principles simply, which I need to work on! It is nice to see so easily how Christ's church has been restored to the Earth. I am grateful for that! The gospel does change lives.

I guess God gives us different challenges in different moments in our lives to help prepare us. We need to press forward and work diligently.
