Changes to the System

Hello all! This week has been full of changes through all sorts of different levels. Some you may know, some not. I thought about rating them, but I couldn't put them in any order. So, I'll do chronological!

1) This has probably affected the daily missionary life for me the most, and that is being a district leader. It's been fun learning more about it and having an increased ability to serve. I feel the greatest miracle in this is that I was able to tell President "I will do that" when he extended the assignment. It's brought a lot more paperwork, and my extra time has been replaced with studying, planning, more studying and calling. It's all so new for me, but luckily I have a District Leader Training this week! (It was supposed to be last transfer but was cancelled because of snow. Lucky me! #littlemiracles)

2) Changes were made to my bodily system.... I caught the cold ðŸ˜”🤧 I had been battling it off for a week or two, but finally after transfers settled down, the cold took it's place. On Friday I wasn't sure if I could go out and felt to ask Elder Heaton for a blessing. It was very simple and beautiful. Now, I wasn't immediately healed, and the cold continued. One could say the blessing wasn't fulfilled, however, I know it was. Because of the blessing, I felt well enough to go out and continue the work; we haven't had to stay in. I know God was and is watching over me.

3) On that same Friday, We received an email informing us that we could call, video, text, etc. home on preparation days! At first, I wasn't sure what to think. Would it distract? Would it help or hurt homesickness? I didn't know (and still haven't formulated an opinion), but I can put my trust in the prophet, his councilors, and the twelve apostles. I very much enjoyed calling home, and LOVE my family!! (Even if I wasn't able to call you today ðŸ˜Š) I'm also grateful to have a greater unity between the missionary work here AND the work at home! That's right, member missionary work to the max!

I'm so grateful for the opportunity to serve here in England. There is honestly no greater work or task or anything that you can do greater than that of helping God's children return to him! (And that can be accomplished on both sides of the veil ðŸ˜‰) If you're not already active in missionary work, please get active! It is the best! Don't know where to start? Ask me! Or your local missionaries, they can help you! (They will LOVE to help you!!) I also find the talk "Find the Lambs, Feed the Sheep" by Gordon B. Hinckley is also a really good jump starter and motivator toward missionary work in all aspects!

Love you all so much! Stay strong. The gospel is true, and God's truths have been, once again, restored to the Earth!
