Zone Conference

Hello all!

This last week we had our zone conferences! These are always amazing, but I particularly liked this one! Our focus was on Chapter 3 of Preach My Gospel which covers the essential doctrines that we as missionaries teach. It was really nice to go over those again. One thing that I love about these lessons, is it really is everything we need to know. We learn of God's great plan for us and our divine potential. We learn how we use that plan in our lives (the gospel), and we learn that God continues to guide us through a living prophet, and personal revelation. If you haven't read through Chapter 3 of Preach My Gospel, I encourage you to do so!

We also had an amazing training given by the area Public Affairs couple. Why? Well, because the "Book of Mormon" musical is coming to Manchester. So, we learned a little bit about how we can use this as a wonderful missionary tool. Around 150,000 people will be coming to see the show, and as such they might have questions. What a wonderful opportunity to reach out to them! Who knows if I'll be near Manchester during it's run, but the things we learned about this tool, and how to manage encounters with potentially confrontational people was very helpful in all aspects of missionary work.

It was also very strange, because my sisters gave their departing testimonies!?! What?? In other words, the sisters that were with me in the MTC go home this transfer! It was wonderful to see how so many of them have grown. I was also lucky in the fact that this conference was half the mission, so I got to hear the majority of them share their testimony.

It's been a great week here, and to top off the end, the sun came out again!! ☀ 😄😃

And also adjoining that was, of course, Mother's Day! It was wonderful to be able to video call my mother and talk with her (as well as some of the rest of the family). A big shout out to my mother for raising me up! (as much as I was the perfect and favourite child, it still couldn't have been easy 😉) This same gratitude is extended to all the other mothers who dutifully and lovingly fulfill their divine role. Thank you!

I love you all and wish you a wonderful week!
