18 MONTHS?!?!?!
Hello!!!
I thought that I was done with my emails, but then I realised that I haven't even created my group email yet! So here it is!
This week, Elder Mbuli and I did a lot of searching. Lots of it! Unfortunately we weren't able to find many people to teach, but we keep searching!
One amazing event occurred on Friday. We weren't able to go with them, but Lisa and Luca were able to go to the temple to perform baptisms!! We met with them on Saturday and they loved it!! I am so grateful to the ward members who went with them and showed them through and answered some of their questions. The prevailing emotion that they shared with us was peace.
Peace does prevail in the temple. It is a wonderful place to be!
This week I also hit 18 Months since I left home!! It is kinda crazy to think that I'm over 3/4 of the way done. 🤤
Also, this Sunday we were able to attend Our Story Goes On with a part-member family. For those who haven't seen Our Story Goes On, it is an amazing story of life and all we experience in it. It is a moving production told mainly through the use of songs from Broadway and movie musicals. It is one of my favourite. Despite being simple and not over-extravagant, it can and does touch the heart, and teaches us that families are forever; that our stories began before birth and that after death, our story goes on.
From one song, it teaches:
It's a story of many chapters,
Of a tale that never ends
And we will live forever
In our Father's home again
One Life, one line, one generation of light
One Father, one Family beloved in His sight
So we come in clouds of glory
to a place we all have been
Each one must write his story,
on this journey of no beginning and no end
I just want to say that what this says is true. Our story does indeed go on, and we have been blessed with the agency to write our own stories. Our stories will have ups and downs, but knowing that God loves us and that there is purpose in those, we will grow in appreciation, trust and love for our Heavenly Father and the great plan He has made for each of us.
I love you all! I hope that your week is wonderful!
Expect Miracles. Be Miracles.
