Recap of Week/Testimony

Wow! What a week! We've had a week of Miracles here in Rochdale and a wonderful cap-off to the transfer. Elder Mbuli and I have been working so diligently to find people who are sincerely interested in learning about and acting on a testimony of Jesus Christ. Well, this week we finally received a handful of miracle families! One walked into church, one had been prepared by missionaries earlier, and another two families were referred to us from other missionaries. Woah. 

So, we've had the special opportunity to teach the message of the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ on multiple occasions this past week. Outside of practice situations with other members/missionaries, it had been quite some time since I have had the opportunity to teach this. Teaching the restoration so many times was an amazing testimony builder to me. I think I often take it for granted, and don't realise just how much this means. 

I've loved watching the faces of these people as we tell them, and as they see their questions answered through it. In each lesson, the people we were teaching would bring up questions that have been burning in their heart for ages. When we shared about the apostasy, the first vision, and the restoration of prophets and priesthood authority it seemed to click in their minds, and bring clarity and answers to those very same questions. 

As we were able to share the first vision with others, the spirit reaffirmed to my mind and heart that the account left by Joseph Smith is true. That he did see God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. He was given authority and command to restore Christ's church; that is, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. 

TRANSFERS

OH YES!! And transfers are this week! Sadly, Elder Mbuli will be leaving off to Moreton (for real this time )... and he's going to be a District Leader!! I loved working with him and have learned so much from him. 

Now, here's the kicker... He's back! No not Elder Carroll (he goes home this week! WHAT??). My next companion is.... ELDER MASANGO!! That's right, 18 months ago we were companions in the MTC, and now we'll be companions in the field.

So, here we are, Elder Mbuli getting ready to leave (again), and me writing a Novel. (Honestly, if you compiled all my letters into a book, I think I could challenge War and Peace )
