Hello all!!

We had some great highlights this week, and it flew by! Legitimately, next week is transfers (hey! I got the warning in this time 😀) and it has gone so fast!!

So, Highlights for the week:

On Tuesday we had District Council's and Elder Wolf and I gave a training on the importance of scriptures when teaching the doctrine of Christ. The training went very well, and it was probably the most prepared and smooth training I've ever given. Elder Wolf and I taught very well together and it showed. It's interesting how preparation and being prepared work so hand-in-hand.

After District Council, we went right into exchanges. I was with Elder Lima and Elder Skilich. This was my first full experience in a trio! I thought it would be extremely different, but the work was the same. It was quite fun though as there was never a shortage of conversation.

While on exchanges we had an amazing lesson! We were teaching about God's Plan of Salvation or Plan of Happiness for each of his children. It was amazing as we taught that we once lived with God as His spirit children before our mortal birth here on Earth. It was something that made so much sense to the man we were teaching. The fact that we are God's children and that we lived before this life with God has been something I believed most my life, yet this wonder Christian man was first being introduced to it. It was amazing to see just how much this meant to him and how important it was.

When we were talking about our life here on Earth, we read a scripture from The Book of Mormon, Alma 34:32 "For behold, this life is the time for men to prepare to meet God; yea, behold the day of this life is the day for men to perform their labors." We were discussing how we can prepare in this life to meet God. One of the important steps discussed was acting on our faith in Christ and being baptised by immersion. Upon an invitation to Baptism next month, he eagerly accepted with a smile on his face.

I know that God does have a plan for each of us, and that we are known by Him who created us. He knows us individually. I am grateful for this time of preparation and growth as we prepare to meet God, our Heavenly Father, again.

One other lesson highlight was with a woman who has known about the church and meeting with the missionaries for quite some time. We had been struggling to arrange a proper sit-down lesson with her, but thankfully that changed Sunday night. We had a member family who opened their home to whoever could come. As of Sunday morning, we had no one to go. So, after church finished, we called as many people as we could! This wonderful woman was able to come.

Can I just testify how powerful the influence of good members and friendships can be in the teaching process?? The member-family that we were with really connected with our friend and helped her to start making progress. I know that Elder Wolf and I could not have done that on our own. We needed that member and the Holy Ghost to help her. It was a wonderful lesson!

Those were the biggest highlights! One other highlight to include is that Elder Wolf and I made Plan of Salvation diagrams! Elder Wolf does artwork and personally drew out the plan. It turned out very well! (I don't have pictures of it now, but I'll try to get one sent out soon!) And that we played Ultimate Frisbee as a zone activity today. It was sooo much fun!! I haven't played in almost 2 years!! So, I was glad to get back out! (oh, and earlier in the week I had some practice. We had a doorstep lesson and this little girl came out with a Frisbee, so we tossed it back and forth while we talked with her mother. 😁

I love you all! I hope that you all have a wonderful week!

See miracles. Be miracles.
