Subject Lines Would Be a lot Easier if I Just Did "Week #..." Oh Well, too Late Now!
Dear family, friends, and anyone else who may stumble upon this message,
Well, it's been another great week here in the EMM! It started off very well with a district Preparation Day. We played chair football, which is such a fun game! (For those who don't know it, we'll play sometime)
Tuesday was a packed day! We started with Zone Conference! This one was focused on teaching skills, and not only did they teach us, but they gave us time to practice. 2 hours were dedicated to "practicing" (formerly known as Roleplays), and evaluation. It was a very good addition. I'm not the biggest fan of role-plays, but these ones were quite nice. We had 4 role-plays (2 per companionship), and each took 15 minutes.
Elder Wolf and I were with Sister Ellsworth and Mu'amoholeva. During one of the practices, I was playing the role of a young man with a broken family who didn't believe in a God. As the sisters taught, they bore powerful witness of the love of God, and it was an amazing experience as I felt that love, as if it was the first time.
Directly after Zone Conference we had interviews with President and Sister McReynolds. Immediately following those, we had a lesson with a new referral! So, he had been taught by the Sisters serving in the YSA ward. Fortunately for us, he's not ysa age! So, we had a joint lesson with the sisters, him, and us. It went so well!
On Thursday we had another lesson with him! The ward mission leader and the elders quorum President joined in with us. It turned out very well! He promised us that he would be at church.... And he came!!!! Woot!
On Friday, we had exchanges. I was with Elder Arostegui in Swinton. We went to a place named Eccles. I had never been there before, so we wanted to try it out. While on the bus there, the weather switched drastically, and the rain. came. down. My goodness, it was strong! The great thing is, it was still coming down when we got to our stop. With drenched feet, and two large umbrellas, we started to knock door to door. By about the 3rd door, the rain stopped, the clouds disappeared, and the sun came out. By the 10th door, the coats were off, the umbrellas dry, and the heat was real.
While it was sunny we met a lovely young mother and her two children. We got talking and she was ready to meet with us and wanted to read the Book of Mormon! (Yay! More people to teach!)
Shortly after our conversation, the clouds returned, and the umbrellas came back out.
Sunday - Can I just say again that we had friends at church??? YES!!!!
So, yeah, that's my week! It was a very good one! I am so grateful to be here serving the Lord in England's green (very wet) and pleasant land!
Love you all!
See miracles. Be miracles.
