General Conference is the Best!

Hello all!

What a week! So, did you watch it? You know what I'm talking about. So, did you watch it? Well, if you didn't, you aught to repent. If you did... Wasn't it amazing?? I loved it! What was my favourite part, you ask? Well, to be frank, the women's session. I was seeking for revelation, and boy did it come in that session.

Over the whole conference I took pages of notes, and action points of what I can do to change. Many pertained to post-Mission, but one of the main focuses of Conference was something that I can do now. As a missionary, our primary purpose is to "invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel of Jesus Christ". We do this by teaching them true doctrine, and inviting them to keep commitments that will draw them closer to Christ. Two items that were impacted in my mind is joy and covenants.

Joy: God's plan for us is all about joy. Joy lasts beyond our circumstances. Joy comes from what is inside us. Joy comes as we take upon ourselves the name of Jesus Christ. Joy comes as we become fully committed to Him. Joy comes as we make promises, or covenants, with God, and live faithfully to them.

Covenants: When we make and keep covenants they bring joy! This is what God wants for us. That's why He gave them to us. To receive the ultimate joy that God can offer, it comes through making and keeping temple covenants.

I found that I should study more on these and teach them! These are two of the great blessings of the restored gospel!

How I love having living prophets and apostles, who guide us toward Christ and inspire us to seek and receive personal revelation.

Now to the unimportant stuff. My week:

Well, the big highlight was Tuesday-Wednesday - exchanges with Elder Arostegui. He is a great elder, and just enough ADHD to keep things interesting! At one point our plans unexpectedly changed due to a forgotten bus pass. We had to go back to the flat retrieve it, and then change the area to which we were going to go. Turns out that God works in mysterious ways! We arrived in Sale and very quickly met two young lads. We started talking with them and they both expressed interest in learning more. Literally two minutes later, we saw a young lady, with a dog, and initiated a conversation with her. Well very similarly she was interested! They all received Book of Mormons and the Man South elders will see them this week!

There we are! I hope you all have a wonderful week!

See miracles. Be miracles.
