One by One
Hello all!
As you all may know, I love Christmas!! It is a very special time of year. It's all about Jesus Christ, the spirit of giving, and joy. Many people go through this season, however, and forget these. That's one reason that the church holds every year #lighttheworld. It is an amazing opportunity to make Christmas an extra special time, for you and others.
The website, lighttheworld.org, launched this past week. Please take some time to explore it and plan what you can do to #lighttheworld this Christmas, One by One!!
Yes, I love Christmas!!
My week had two great highlights this week. One was exchanges and the other was interviews.
Exchanges: So, Elder Kelly and Elder Skilich came up to Swinton and we all worked there. I was working with Elder Kelly. It was an amazing exchange. Despite our lesson falling through, we held to our back-up plan and were ready to keep working. He is from Ireland, and quite the history buff. He and I could also go on and on with puns, punchlines, and dad jokes.
We also had an amazing tea appointment with the Matthew family, and we introduced #lighttheworld! Christmas is coming!!
Interviews: Nope, this isn't the final one, although I wondered if it was. It was quite the brief interview, but always enjoyable. President and Sister McReynolds are the absolute best. The love and devotion that they have to the mission and missionaries is incredible to see. Their devotion to the Lord, even more so.
Each Day Is a Gift: I have traversed my mission one day by one day. It is absolutely crazy how fast the collective days have gone. But as my total number of days left grows shorter, I've realised how much of a gift one day really is. Thankfully, I still have many one days left. Each new day is an opportunity to change, to grow, to reach out to someone in need, to lift another, to be lifted, and to grow in love for the Saviour, His sacrifice, and God's great plan of happiness for His children.
I am grateful for each day.
See miracles. Be miracles
